Privacy Policy

Our approach to privacy
At Facti AI, we build software for the trust era. That extends to how we handle your information. We collect the minimum necessary to run our website and communicate with people who reach out, and we don't sell your data to anyone.
This policy explains what we collect on the facti.ai website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
Our individual products — Psitta, KYCShield, and Trusi — each have their own privacy policies covering the data they collect from their users. This policy covers the facti.ai marketing website only.
Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information.
Information you give us directly:
- Contact details when you email us at contact@facti.ai (your name, email address, the content of your message, and anything else you choose to share)
- Information you submit through any forms on the site (currently, the only form is informal email contact)
Information collected automatically:
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, referring URL, timestamp
- Basic analytics: page views, session duration, geographic region (typically country- or state-level, not your home address)
- Cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies and tracking" below)
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries you send us
- Maintain and improve the website
- Understand which content visitors find useful, in aggregate
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or malicious activity
- Comply with our legal obligations
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, retarget you with ads, or sell to third parties.
How we share your information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:
With service providers — companies that help us operate the website, such as our hosting provider, our email provider, and our analytics provider. These vendors handle information on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for our purposes.
When required by law — for example, in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal request, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
As part of a business transfer — if Facti AI is acquired, merged with another company, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'd notify you in advance where reasonably possible.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies on facti.ai:
- Essential cookies that make the website work (e.g., remembering your preferences if you have any)
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used in aggregate
We don't use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party trackers that follow you around the web.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site will still work without them, though some features may behave differently.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights about your personal information. We try to honor these rights for everyone, regardless of jurisdiction:
- Access: You can ask us what information we have about you.
- Correction:You can ask us to fix information that's inaccurate.
- Deletion: You can ask us to delete information about you (subject to legal exceptions, such as records we are required to keep).
- Opt out: You can opt out of communications from us at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@facti.ai. We'll respond within thirty days.
If you're in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you also have rights under those laws (such as the GDPR's right to portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority).
If you're a resident of California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information (which we don't do).
Data retention
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above. In practice:
- Inquiry emails are kept while we're working with you and for a reasonable period after, then archived or deleted
- Server logs are typically kept for thirty to ninety days
- Analytics data is kept in aggregate form for as long as it remains useful
If you ask us to delete your information, we'll do so unless we're legally required to keep something.
Children's privacy
The facti.ai website is not directed at children under the age of thirteen. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
International users
Facti AI LLC is based in the United States. If you visit our website from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the site, you consent to this transfer.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another jurisdiction with data protection requirements, we'll handle your information consistent with those laws to the extent they apply.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. See our Security Overview at /legal/security for details. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to minimize risks.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, for material changes, post a notice on the website or contact you directly if appropriate.
